Volunteers are critical to the operation of Luteran Social Services programs. This is especially true of those who assist with reconstruction for temporary or permanent housing. The best way to volunteer is as follows:

Home Sponsor - The activities of the Home Sponsor include making contributions to the cost of utilities, insurance, repairs and other expenses. In addition, this sponsor helps organize "clean up" days twice a year to do painting, yard clean up, and minor repairs

Family Sponsor - The activities of the Family Sponsor include working with the Case Manager and families to ensure there are presents for special holidays, clothes and supplies for school, transportation (if needed) and, at times, child care to allow a mom to take a day off.
